Several boats were pulled up into a yard on Gloucester’s Rocky Neck undergoing various stages of repair. One boat’s bottom showed several coats of peeling paint and patchy touch-ups as well as barnacles creating an abstract expression of some complexity. Rocky Neck is home to one of the oldest artist’s colonies in the country, but not all of the art is in the studios and galleries!
