Rockport Cobbles
Near the tip of Cape Ann, just beyond the Pigeon Cove district of Rockport, Massachusetts, is a section of coastline with wonderful formations of the indigenous granite which gave the town its name. In one small cove, the granite cobbles have been tossed by the raging Atlantic in every nor’easter ever since the end of the last ice age, rounding them to egg-like smoothness.
