Pula Arena
One of the most complete Roman amphitheaters as well as one of the largest, the arena at Pula (Pola in Italian) was started in about 2 AD by Augustus and added to by Claudius, then by Vespasian, and finally completed by Titus around 81 AD. That it is still standing after 2000 years is a testament to its sound construction techniques. Today it is used as a venue for concerts, plays, films, and even ice hockey matches.
