Te Hoho Rock
One of the most well-known beaches on the North Island of New Zealand is Cathedral Cove Beach on the Coromandel Peninsula. Accessible only by boat, or by foot under an archway through the rock from an adjacent beach, Cathedral Cove is a favorite for locals and tourists alike. Standing just at the water’s edge with full-size trees growing on its top is the towering white limestone sentinel, Te Hoho Rock, one of the most quintessential sights in New Zealand.
