On Leach Pond

Somewhere between sky and land, between air and water, between dreams and reality, is the borderland. The former estate of the Blanche and Oakes Ames family, Borderland State Park straddles the border of Sharon and Easton, Massachusetts. Within its more than 1500 acres there are several ponds, including Leach Pond, over which, on a nearly windless late August day, fair-weather cumulus clouds gently float.
