Say Aah

We took a hike up Neahakahnie, the mountain overlooking the Oregon coast at Manzanita. It was a beautiful spring day, not raining (for once), and our ascent took us through some wonderful woods. Alongside the trail there were the remnants of recent blooms of trillium flowers. I loved how the dried petals wrapped around the sepal leaves and the shadow of curled up old stamens made spectacles.
