France is changing rapidly, even in Brittany. Shopping centers and supermarkets and fast food restaurants are replacing the local shops, markets, and cafes. Here, on the main street of Riec-sur-Bélon, a town just east of
Pont-Aven, this café has closed, leaving just a shadow of its sign and only a memory of the patrons who used to frequent it in simpler times.
