CHATEAU DE BEYNAC
Towering above the little village scattered along the Dordogne river below, the 12th century castle of Beynac was a front-line defense for the French in the 100 Years' War against the English who held the imposing Castelnaud just across the river. Beynac is also one of "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France."
