CHATEAU DE MONTFORT
Dreamlike, a fantasy out of a storybook, Montfort towers over the little village which bears its name on one side, while on the other it sits perched on a precarious precipice over the Dordogne river. Attacked, destroyed, and rebuilt many times over its lifetime, Montfort is a melange of architectural styles patched together. Privately held and closed to the public, rumor has it that it is owned by a Saudi prince.
