COQUILLES, PARIS
On each trip I make to France, I take pictures of displays of food. Everything is always so fresh and so colorful. On a trip in 1995, I took a number of food images that are still being sold today. Corgettes, citrons-verts, huitres, frisée, crevettes, langoustines. But I had never taken a good portrait of scallops until February '07. I found these in a stall at the open market in Place Monge in the 5th Arrondissement.
