EVENING ON THE BELON
It is evening and our table at Chez Jacky, the fantastic seafood restaurant on the banks of the river in Port de Bélon, is not quite ready yet. High tide has covered the oyster beds, and the still waters of the river reflect tranquility and a sense of timelessness. But overhead the evening sky is criss-crossed with jet trails. This is what keeps Brittany so wonderful -- the planes fly overhead but do not land here, they just pass right on by.
