Driving from Souillac towards Les Eyzies-de-Tayac, I thought I would take a short-cut. The road was on the map, but the further along we went, the smaller and smaller the little road became until it finally petered out completely in a farmyard. I looked around at where we were and the timeless ancient stone buildings astounded me. Stone walls, stone roofs, all is stone. And not a soul around. It was as if we had stumbled through a time-rift and had gone back in time to the 12th century. I framed a few images and we drove off, finding our way back to a more major road, back to a more contemporary time.
