Fog on the Vezere FOG ON THE VEZERE

A late September morning in Les Eyzies-de-Tayac next to the river Vezere, and the fog is rising. The sun has just risen but within an hour the fog will have burned off. The Vezere here is very gentle, no rapids, and there is not a sound save the crows in the corn field beyond the trees across the river. No trains crossed the bridge in the distance and only a very few cars passed while I worked on this image. Les Eyzies is the center of pre-history in France, being the region where Cro-Magnon man was first identified in the 19th century. This view of the river probably hasn't changed much since that time.
