Yellow Shutters, Pont-Aven YELLOW SHUTTERS,
PONT-AVEN

The village of Pont-Aven in Brittany had a saying long ago: Pont-Aven, village of 15 mills and 14 houses. Today, the mills are gone, but there are about 65 art galleries! Everything in the town is cute-cute-cute, and the shutters on all the buildings are painted Breton blue. But in a little side alley is a true anomaly: yellow shutters. We were on a walk into the Bois d'Amour with our friend Hank when I spotted this composition.
