IL CAMPO AT SUNSET, SIENA
The sky got dark but the sun shone orange on the Torre del Mangia, rising above the Palazzo Pubblico which forms most of the straight side of the letter D shape of the Piazza del Campo in Siena, Italy. People-watching here is an art, and there are many restaurants ringing the piazza where you can sit and do just that. Or sit out in the middle along with students from the several language schools in the city. As the evening wears on, the main streets of the city fill up with people performing that venerable Italian tradition, the passegiata or evening stroll.
