SIENA LION
The cathedral in Siena, high up on its hill overlooking everything around it, is a magnificient structure of multicolored stone. Built over several hundred years, it has withstood the weathering effects of time extraordinarily well. This lion was probably carved around 1300 and is as fierce today as it was then.
