AVEN RIVER, PONT-AVEN
Pont-Aven is a small town in Brittany, France, and is the home of the Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art. Students from all over the world come to Pont-Aven to study and create. All around the town are wonders of the natural (and man-made) world that can serve as inspiration for contemporary art. Here, the rocks and weeds in the Aven as it flows gently through the Bois d'Amour park in the center of town have the feeling of a carefully sculptured contemplative site piece.
