First Frost

FIRST FROST

Walking in the woods in Gloucester, Massachusetts known as Dogtown in late October a few years ago, I came across this puddle that had frozen overnight, trapping the oak leaves in its icy grip. By noon, the puddle was mud once again. Beauty is so fleeting -- grab it while you can!
