ICE PUDDLE, MIDDLESEX FELLS
The Middlesex Fells near my home in Medford, Massachusetts, is part of the Emerald Necklace, the park system surrounding Boston. Originally envisioned by Charles Eliot in the 1890s, the Fells is a treasure so close to Boston. At any time of year I love to hike, ski or snowshoe in the Fells. And there is usually something interesting to photograph, whether it be glorious pink Lady Slippers in the spring, fall foliage, or, as here, frozen puddles in the winter.
