INTO THE WOODS, CASCADE HEAD, OREGON
Just north of Lincoln City, Cascade Head juts out into the Pacific Ocean. Much of the property on this spectacular headland was acquired by The Nature Conservancy, and a magnificient trail leads to high meadows through a magical rain forest of huge sitka spruce. With moss covering all of the trees, and with the forest floor blanketed with oxalis and wild flowers, the Conservancy trail has got to be one of the most beautiful walks in Oregon.
