JACK IN THE PULPIT
I am fascinated by these primeval flowers. When we moved to our house in 1994, we were delighted to find some growing in the yard. Over the years we have been only slightly successful at propagating them. This one was moved from one part of the yard to another and we were worried that it might not take since jacks like very wet feet and the new location is not as wet as its former home. But the new location, right at the front of our garden and set against a backdrop of bleeding hearts, has turned out to be a very enduring spot.
