PESCADERO TIDEPOOL, CALIFORNIA
A few miles south of San Francisco, on the San Mateo County coast, is the small town of Pescadero. The beaches near the town have some of the most amazing rock formations I have ever seen. At mid-tide, the tidepools are quite active as the Pacific edges into them, bringing great swirling blobs of curvilinear foam. I especially like the contrast of the solid and stationary rocks with the foam-covered water always in motion.
