SUMMER IRIS
What can one say about the iris? Soft and sensuous, tall and slender, elegant and refined. Cragmont, my elementary school in Berkeley, California had as its school colors green and purple. We even had a school song, "Hail Green and Purple." This iris in my back yard in Medford, Massachusetts is the epitome of Hail Green and Purple.
