Lowell Reflection

LOWELL REFLECTION

When the White Light photography club of Lexington and Medford, Massachusetts went on a "shoot out" to Lowell, Massachusetts on July 12, 2004, our task was to shoot whatever we wanted. We then gathered at a lunch spot to talk about the morning's success or failure, sharing images by peering at each other's camera backs. Running through Lowell are several canals which were used to power the many Industrial Revolution era mills. One of the old factory buildings is reflected in a canal. Although this looks like a Photoshop manipulation, it is just an inverted reflection, the subtle ripples in the water creating the almost brush-like quality.
