RED HOSE IN PARIS

I don't really know quite why, but I am sort of fascinated by hoses and ropes in the landscape. Perhaps it has something to do with the enigma of man's influence on his environment. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that as a child I kept pet snakes. I don't know. In any case, I was taken with this hose on the banks of the Seine, right across from Notre Dame Cathedral. Like some people who stick their heads in the sand, a title suggests itself -- "Ignorance".
