STEVE'S DISH REFLECTION
Sitting at my dining room table one evening doing the bills, I looked at a ceramic bowl made by my wife's brother, Stephen Gerould. The light of the chandelier overhead was reflected in the glazed surface of the interior of the shallow bowl. I was really taken by the abstraction created, and although this is a photograph, it has more painterly qualities, a nice conjunction of the potter's and photographer's arts.
