First Frost

Walking in the woods known as Dogtown in Gloucester, Massachusetts in late October a few years ago, I came across this puddle that had frozen overnight, trapping the oak leaves in its icy grip. By noon, the puddle was mud and water once again. Beauty is so fleeting — grab it while you can!
